Challenge
To enhance the quality of life and accessibility for the residents and visitors of Innishannon, and to reduce the traffic congestion and environmental impact of the urban corridor.
Solution
The project involved the design and construction of new footpaths, crossings, lighting and landscaping along the Church Hill road, which connects the village centre with the local school, church and cemetery. The project also included the installation of traffic calming measures, such as speed cushions, chicanes and signage, to slow down the vehicles and improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
