Challenge / Goal
To promote sustainable and active travel in Navan and the surrounding areas, to reduce traffic congestion and emissions, to enhance the health and well-being of residents and visitors, and to support the economic and social development of Navan as a regional hub.
Solution
To design and implement a comprehensive cycle network that covers the main routes into and out of Navan, as well as the orbital and local routes within the town. The cycle network will consist of segregated cycle lanes, shared paths, greenways, and low-traffic neighbourhoods. The project will also involve improving the pedestrian environment, creating new public spaces, and providing bike parking and other facilities for cyclists.
